Paediatric in hadapsar

We are leaders in innovative Paediatric treatments, heart disease prevention. We offer exceptional heart care through an experienced, board-certified team of cardiologists, state-of-the-art facilities, a rapid triage process and special response teams that allow us to treat heart attack patients faster than the average.

We offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic tests to identify heart-related ailments, and a broad array of procedures to treat heart rhythm disturbances.

Our medical professionals are specially trained to differentiate heart and vascular-related conditions from non-cardiovascular illnesses with similar symptoms, so patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment options.

To identify heart and vascular-related ailments, we have made a comprehensive array of diagnostic tests available to our patients, including:

ARTERIOGRAPHY

An arteriogram also called an angiogram, is a series of X-rays in which a contrast dye is injected to show the flow of blood through a patient’s blood vessels.

CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION

Cardiac catheterization is a test used to pinpoint the size and location of plaque that may have built up in a patient’s coronary arteries. A special dye is usually injected into the coronary arteries to trace blood flow through the arteries. The test helps determine if you need intervention or surgery.

COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CT)

Electron beam computed tomography (CT) scanning is an accurate and expedient test to detect calcium buildup in the lining of the arteries while the heart is beating.

ECHOCARDIOGRAM

An echocardiogram, often called an “echo”, uses high-frequency sound waves to graphically illustrate the heart’s valves and chambers and record its movement.

ELECTROCARDIOGRAM

An electrocardiogram also called an EKG or ECG, is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart through 10 small electrode patches attached to the skin of a patient’s chest, arms and legs.

ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY STUDY

An EP study is a test that records the electrical activity and measures the electrical pathways of the heart. This test is used to determine the cause of a patient’s heart rhythm disturbance.

HOLTER MONITOR

A Holter monitor is a lightweight portable EKG that monitors the electrical activity of the heart 24 hours a day for one to five days.

MAGNETIC RESONANCE ANGIOGRAPHY (MRA)

Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to provide a picture of blood vessels inside your body. MRA can detect problems within the blood vessels that may be causing reduced blood flow and can provide information that cannot be obtained from X-rays.

STRESS TEST

Stress tests determine the amount of stress a patient’s heart can manage before developing either an abnormal rhythm or evidence of ischemia (lack of blood flow to the heart muscle).

TILT TABLE TEST

The head-up tilt table test can help determine the cause of fainting spells.

ULTRASOUND

The high-frequency sound waves used in ultrasound are the most common means to screen for peripheral vascular disease or abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Because non-surgical options are safer and more effective than ever before, Mount Carmel can offer patients more choices for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. With more than 2,400 balloon angioplasty and stenting procedures to their credit each year, our expert interventional cardiologists provide a full range of the most advanced treatments available.

ANGIOPLASTY

Our highly-trained physicians are experienced not only in traditional balloon angioplasty to treat narrowing or blocked coronary arteries but also in advanced techniques like cutting balloon angioplasty, in which tiny blades are inserted to open difficult blockages.

STENT PLACEMENT

Our expert physicians are experienced in using stents (tiny mesh tubes) in combination with balloon angioplasty to open blocked arteries
