Dr. Mustafa Shakir is a highly skilled General Surgeon who is specialized in Laparoscopic, gastrointestinal, and Laser surgeries. With over with over two decades of experience, he had been working both nationally and internationally. He has accomplished a meritorious career of 24 years in Surgery, involving quality experience and interest in the fields of Laparoscopic and Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has dedicated more than 13 years of his expertise at Farwaniya Hospital, a government hospital in Kuwait affiliated to the Medical University.
After passing MBBS from RNT Medical College Udaipur, Rajasthan University in 1999 on a Scholarship given based on distinction marks in Sr. Secondary School he completed his compulsory internship in December 2000 & moved to New Delhi, where he worked in the Department of General Surgery and he completed his Post Graduation DNB in General Surgery from July 2002 to June 2005 from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India where he was trained for all kinds of basic and advanced laparoscopic and open procedures.. While doing post-graduation he was awarded with Dr. N.K. Mehra Award for the Best P.G. Student in Surgery in the Year 2004 & completed thesis work on “Comparative Evaluation of Hemorrhoidectomy using a Stapling Device, Bipolar Electrocautery, and Harmonic Scalpel”. He also passed ILETS and PLAIB in 2003.

He passed MRCS Glasgow (General Surgery) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK in June 2005 & started working in the Department of Surgery at Farwaniya Hospital, Ministry of Health, Kuwait from 2006 till Oct 2019.
He was Awarded with FICS (Fellow of International College of Surgeons) in February 2019.
During the working tenure at Farwaniya Hospital, he gained great teaching experience in Teaching General Surgery and Minimal Access Surgery to undergraduate and postgraduate surgical candidates. His interest in Academics is well known because of his active participation in conducting and attending various seminars, journal clubs, clinical case discussions, Surgical Audit, morbidity and Mortality meetings.
He has extensive experience in all major and minor General Surgical Operations, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Laparoscopic Hernias repair, Fundoplication ( GERD, Hiatal hernia), Colorectal surgeries, gastrectomy, breast cancer ( mastectomy, breast conservative surgery ) and thyroid cancer. He has extensive experience in operating Diabetic foot ( Amputations, debridement), fistula in ano, piles( Stapler – PPH, Laser ), and Circumcision ( Clamps and Rings).

Since November 2019 he has started his own Clinic SAFE SURGICAL CENTER in Undri, Pune, and is also working as a Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon in Prestigious hospitals like Inamdar Hospital, Ruby Hall, Jehangir Noble Apollo, and ONP.
