Dr. Sumit Saxena is a certified Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon working as a consultant with reputed hospitals in Pune. He has obtained a master’s in General Surgery and a Master’s in Chirurgical (MCh, super specialty) in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery from V S Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Post, MCh., he had moved to Pune where he worked as a cosmetic surgeon in Inlaks and Budhrani hospitals. Intending to expand and cover a larger base of patients, he got into panels of various hospitals as a consultant. To name a few hospitals, he is attached to Inamdar Hospital, Ruby Hall, Jehangir, Columbia Asia, and Sahyadri group of hospitals. Our center was started in 2017 to provide state-of-the-art service in almost every aspect of Cosmetic Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Having worked as a skilled and leading Plastic surgeon, he is also passionate about propagating academics. He has associated himself with the monthly magazine of IMA Hadapsar. Dr. Saxena contributed to educational articles for the magazine and also volunteered to provide his service as an editor of the magazine. He also believes that knowledge should be shared and spread amongst the doctor’s fraternity. Owing to this thought, he had successfully organized and conducted many conferences and also had been a speaker at them. He also keeps himself abreast with the latest plastic surgery techniques and new technologies. Dr. Saxena also believes in upholding the dignity of the profession by carrying out many charitable services. He has been a constant visitor and an operating surgeon for Bandorwalla Leprosy Centre for a decade. He also works with the Lions Club to provide free medical services to the poor and needy. On his own, he provides services at minimum cost to non-affording patients, especially those with burns, congenital deformities, and those needed AV Fistula for dialysis. He is also associated with various plastic surgery associations APSI, SAPS and other medical associations AMC, HMA, GAPIO among a few others
